Junior Email Designer

Remote position
About us & the role

We're not your typical creative agency. We're The Better Creative, and we specialize in one thing and one thing only — email design. As a Junior Email Designer, you'll be designing engaging emails and implementing them via different Email Service Provider platforms.
What you can expect from us

  • Starting salary of up to $800, depending on previous experience
  • A monthly performance-based bonus if you can create more than 3 new email designs a day
  • A 3-month freelancer contract, after which you will be eligible for full employment status if your performance is stellar. The status includes all taxes paid by the company, medical insurance, pension insurance, and 3-month unemployment insurance.
  • An amazing days-off package that increases with each year spent in the company
  • Opportunity to work from the comfort of your home + the opportunity to co-work in Belgrade in the near future
  • Regular training and 1-on-1 coaching sessions with Senior Email Designers
  • A friendly environment with helpful people and very detailed & clear processes
What you'll be working on

  • You'll be taking the existing master templates and creating emails from those. You will need to complete an average of 3 new email designs per day
  • You'll be creating graphic assets for emails and popups according to the client's briefs
  • You’ll be implementing master templates into Stripo after they have been designed by our Senior Email Designers.
  • You'll receive very detailed design briefs, so you'll need to follow those closely and be able to implement feedback quickly and efficiently
Must-haves and nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of graphic design experience or 6 months of design experience in a marketing agency
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Illustrator.
  • Advanced English (both written and spoken)
  • Previous experience in email marketing or email design is a plus. However, all training will be provided by us, so it’s perfectly alright if you don’t have any email design experience.

What happens next

Apply

In the short application form below, you will be able to submit your resume and answer questions that will give us a better overview of your background. Please note that only applications in English will be taken into consideration.

Our hiring team will go through all the applications and pick candidates that fit the profile. Those candidates will be called in for the screening interview.
Screening interview

The first interview will be with someone from our talent acquisition team. During this call, we will provide you with more detailed information regarding the company and the position.

We'll also leave some time for your questions, to make sure you have all the information you need to decide if we're a good fit or not.

Tasks

We include practical assignments that simulate the working environment as the most important part of the talent acquisition process. The tasks are not difficult and aim to test the level of certain competencies for different job positions.

The test will also show you what your daily work would be about, and it's a chance for you to see if this is the right job for you!

Structured interview

After the Screening Interview and a successfully completed task, a longer interview takes place. Two interviewers are present on this call, which is usually about 1 hour long.

Sometimes we also invite a relevant Leader on the call, so they can meet you, and ask any additional questions timely, if needed. This way, we save time on candidate reviews, and make sure we inform you about the results of the interview as soon as possible.

During the Structured Interview, we dive deeper into the education and work experiences you've had so far. The idea of the interview is to get to know you a bit better, and the questions are conversational, which makes the interview a pleasant experience.
